A UK Student Visa allows international students to study in the UK for a full-time course at a licensed university.
This visa was previously known as the Tier 4 Visa but is now called the Student Route Visa.
It is required if your course duration is more than 6 months.

This is one of the most important documents for your UK visa application.
The CAS contains:

- Tuition fees
- University information
- Student details
Without CAS, you cannot apply for a visa.
Step 4: Prepare Financial Documents

Students must show proof of funds.
This includes:
- Tuition fees
- Living expenses
Required documents:
- Bank statements
- Education loan sanction letter
- Sponsor documents (if applicable)
Financial proof is very important for visa approval.
Step 5: English Language Requirement

Most UK universities require:
- IELTS
- PTE
- TOEFL
Minimum score depends on university and course.
Some universities accept MOI (Medium of Instruction).
Step 6: Apply Online for UK Student Visa
Visit the UK government visa portal and:
- Fill application form
- Upload documents
- Pay visa fee

Step 7: Book Biometrics Appointment

Book an appointment at VFS Global.
At the center:
- Submit fingerprints
- Take photograph
- Submit passport
This is mandatory.
Step 8: Wait for Visa Decision
Processing time:
⏳ Usually 3 weeks
If approved, you will receive:
- Passport with visa vignette
or - eVisa
Step 9: Travel to the UK

Students can usually travel up to 1 month before course start date.
